What is the best reformer package for beginners?

EVERYONE, whether it's pro athlete or couch potato, starts their Pilates journey as a beginner. Our Titan Primer is a deeply discounted package that provides all the education and confidence you need to start regular reformer classes, where your success is exponential. We have three ways to attend a beginner PILATES PRIMER: Group, Private or Partner Sessions.

What is a Warrior membership?

Once a WARRIOR chooses their Reformer class on their preferred day and time they are guaranteed their spot each week. WARRIORS pay each month on the 26th of the month and, until they provide 30 days notice to cancel their class, their spot is secured in the same class each week.

What is the difference between classes?

Every class at Titan Pilates is a challenging, full body, mixed level class. We differentiate classes based on the equipment we use. We also have a monthly membership class we call WARRIOR. Drop-in members are permitted to attend ANY class, (including WARRIOR within no less than 48 hours prior to booking) but WARRIOR members may only attend their chosen class each week on the same day at the same time.

Can Titan Core drop-ins also do Warrior classes?

YES. You may only book a regular WARRIOR class within a 48 hour window. You may book a WANDERING WARRIOR class in advance.

May I put my Warrior membership on hold?

No. We do not hold your spot in class for more than 2 weeks.

May I talk to someone to help me decide?

Absolutely. 705.351.3319. We would be happy to take your call to help match you to your preferred package. Text or call anytime.

What are the studio hours?

Pilates

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a method of exercise and movement that focuses on posture and joint alignment to build optimum strength and speed without sacrificing mobility and functional movement. This helps to heal injuries, but most importantly, helps to prevent them. It was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. The exercises are done on a mat or specialized spring-based equipment. Pilates is often praised for its ability to improve posture, balance, and muscle tone, as well as its potential to help alleviate back pain and prevent injuries. It’s suitable for people of all fitness levels and can be adapted to meet individual needs and goals. Many people find Pilates to be, not only, physically beneficial but also mentally, as it encourages breathing, mindfulness and body awareness while moving through various curriculum.

Who can benefit from Pilates?

EVERYONE!!  The healthy bodies who love Pilates and do it several times a week (Athletic Training (Marathons, Cycling, Racquet Sports, Team Sport, Travel Hiking): Pre and Post Natal Back Injuries  Osteoporosis Scoliosis Weight Loss All Sport Joint Injuries  Neurological pathologies like Parkinsons and MS  Surgery PreHab & Rehab Pelvic Floor Issues Car Accident Victims Aging Issues including balance. The list is long and the testimonials help shine some light on people who came to Pilates for assistance with healing. Please reach out with any questions at all.

Is Pilates a type of yoga?

People sometimes assume, because Pilates can be done on a yoga mat, that is like yoga. Anyone who has done a Titan Pilates class will tell you that our classes are more akin to physiotherapy than Yoga. The one way it IS like Yoga is that anyone at any level can do it.   Pilates is actually a mix of Acrobatics, Martial Arts, Yoga and Animal movement.

Who can do Pilates?

Pilates is for every body. When you are injured, there are so many things that you cannot do, Pilates is not one of them. It can be a gentle workout getting your body used to movement again or kick-ass workout training you for your Olympic competition. Pilates can meet you where you are, no matter where you are.

Is there an age restriction?

Yes. Pilates on the machine is not recommended for anyone under 16 (with some exceptions). However, you can begin taking Pilates classes on the mat at 14 years of age.

What if I’m a beginner?

There are so many ways to begin Pilates. Some people start a few privates to address injuries and personal goals. Others start with our beginner Pilates Primer Group class or attend a walk-in mat class to get the vibe of studio. Any way you start is a great way to begin your Pilate journey. No one EVER regrets it.
